Christian Education

Gina Gitchell and Molly Badrawy, Co-Directors

For 2010-2011, Church School will meet from September through June from 9:30 until approximately 10:30 when the children join their parents for the Eucharist.
Classes that include storytelling, games and activities are open to children from 4 years old through 8th grade.
Children and families can participate in pageants, parades, coffee hour and more to learn to be a part of parish life.
Our goal is to plant a basis of Bible stories, not only to nurture the children’s spiritual life, but also to familiarize them with literature, history and culture.
Our mission in Christian Education at St. James Episcopal Church is to share with our children our belief in God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through L-O-V-E:

L – Learning to recognize Christ in all persons, thereby facilitating justice and peace.

O- Organizing intergenerational events to foster fellowship between children and adults.

V-Vigilance in maintaining St. James as a safe place for learning.

E-Enabling our leaders through training programs and prayer.
